One of the most heartwarming parts of our work is when proud parents return to the clinic to introduce us to their new arrivals. One of our midwife sonographers here at Before We Meet. She has been a qualified midwife since 2016 and has spent the last 4 years specialising in obstetric ultrasound. She loves how ultrasound lets families see and bond with their baby before birth and feels privileged to be able to share such a special time in each family’s life. When she’s not working, Laura enjoys beach walks with her partner and dogs, socialising with friends, and looking forward to her next holiday in the sun.
I trained as a midwife in 2002 and have worked around the country before settling back in the north east 10 years ago. I trained as a sonographer in 2018 as ultrasound had always fascinated me (my mam was a midwife and my dad was a physics teacher so I’ve taken after them both now!). I have 2 young children so I love spending my time off with them at the beach (no matter what the weather) and watching live music with my husband and friends.
I'm an Obstetric sonographer with 25 years scanning experience and still find it amazing been able to watch a baby develop from a tiny seed to chunky cheeks. I enjoy spending time with my family and like to escape to the coast, lakes and Scotland... with my dog.
